ImBlessedpost2The Blessing

Eph 1:2-3 (King James Version)
Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Paul began his letter to the Ephesus church with a salutation in the 2nd verse of the first chapter with Grace and Peace which means:  manifested blessings and prosperity in every area of your life.  This implies that the blessing of God will be so strong and effective in your life that God’s conquering force will remove all former curses and chaos you once knew and replace it with His peace that prevails in every area of your life.  Hallelujah!

Remember Apostle Paul is inspired by God to write this letter to the believers in Christ (the church). In verse 3 he says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who hath blessed us.  Notice:  God, our Father, is the source of the Blessing, who hath (past tense) blessed us.

This phrase in the aorist tense in the Greek means that there was a point in the past when all these blessings were attained and given to us.  Paul is describing what is already ours.  These are not blessings we have to earn or pursue but rather blessings to be discovered and experienced.  We who have put our faith in Christ should not be toiling for the blessings, but enjoying the blessings.  They are already given to us.

Notice:  “In Heavenly places” carries the idea of in the spiritual realm “in Christ.”  The word teaches not only are we in Christ but that also Christ is in us the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).  So, if we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places (realms) in Christ and Christ is in us, then we can say that we are spiritually connected to the Heavenly realms in Christ.  Can you see that?  Amen!

These things are spiritual realities that we possess in Christ.  How do I access and activate these spiritual blessings (realities) in my life?  According to Philemon 1:6, That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. as we acknowledge what we have in Christ, put our faith into action by speaking what we believe, these spiritual blessings will become physical realities.  Amen.

Put your faith into action by saying these faith affirmations over yourself:

I believe God’s word.

I am what the word says I am.

I am in Christ and I have the blessing.

I am empowered to prosper every day in every area of my life in Jesus’ name.  Amen!

I am excited and encouraging you to follow these daily devotion with it confessions releasing the power, presence and goodness of God everyday in your life. I am also excited about what I see happening in these days to come as we journey with the Blessing.
