Romans 4:5-6 (KJV)
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
What is the blessedness? It is God giving us His righteousness apart from human effort.
How do we receive his righteousness? By receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. II Corinthians 5:21 says that Jesus who knew no sin became sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
Jesus, Himself becomes our righteousness, according to 1 Corinthians 1:30.
What is righteousness? It is our right standing and relationship with God, the Father. He looks at us as though sin has never been because we are in Christ.
Righteousness gives us access to all the blessings.
Righteousness is a gift given by grace and received by faith according to Romans 5:17.

Because I am in Christ Jesus:
- I am the righteousness of God.
- I can approach my Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus without sin consciousness, inferiority complex, guilt or shame
- I have access to all the blessings, to all the benefits in Christ Jesus.
- I declare that all the promises that are in Christ Jesus are yes and so be it.
